July 2006, Toei Video finally released the official "Choudenji Machine Voltes V" DVD-BOX on 08. December 2006 for the first time ever! The flyer pic contains: DVD specificiations, advertising for Box-Set, and Toei video points club sheet. The booklet contains historical data about Voltes, interviews with the creator and illustrations taken from the manga comic. Most impressively it shows a collection of Voltes V propanganda (posters, promotions) and the toys. But there is no mention of GX-31. Well worth the money to import, despite no subtitles japanese or english. It's way better than the dubbed filipino VCDs in terms of picture quality.

Voltes V Robot Toy
The 30 cm (12 inch) high Voltes V Robot Toy is manufactured by Popy (Popinika) and released in 3 versions: the Chogokin 1978 edition, the Chogokin 1982 edition, and the Bandai America/Godaikin 1984 edition. These three are basically identical and only differ a bit. The Chogokin 1978 edition has yellow arm joints while the 1982 edition has them red. The differences between Chogokin and Godaikin are in packaging and bonus: the Chogokin version has Voltes' mechanical blueprint, a pen, and some enemy monster figurines; the Godaikin version has no bonus.

These toys are now collector items, so they're available only at hobby shops or toy shops that deal with classic Japanese robot toys. Of course, most are used items and the one in mint condition is super rare. Searching for it at auction sites such as eBay would be a good idea, too. One of the sellers in eBay who deals with robot stuff is Kim Castro. His eBay ID is www-kimcastro-com, his website is www.kimcastro.com. You can e-mail him here. Disclaimer: I'm not related to these sellers in any way so I'm not responsible for any matter resulted from the transaction you made with these sellers.
There is also a smaller version of Voltes V Robot Toy with just about 10 cm high. This miniature version was made also by Popy and released in 1977 with code number "Chogokin GA-80". Unlike its 30-cm brother, this mini Voltes cannot completely "volt-out" into 5 Volt Machines, only the head part can be separated to become Volt Crewzer. This toy was reissued by Bandai China in February 2004 with code number "Chogokin GT-10".

Voltes V The Movie
Voltes V was made only in 40 episodes. There has been no official sequel, prequel, nor theatrical / feature movie ever made. In 80s there was a Voltes V movie shown in theatres in Philippines, but this movie was made locally in the Philippines (this movie is unknown in Japan) by editing the 40 episodes of Voltes to fit into one movie, so it doesn't introduce a new or different story.
